There's no need for panic, but Zimuse.B (we haven't seen Zimuse.A here yet) has hit Australia.
We at DESC Computers strongly suggest backing up your important data ASAP and recommending that our clients (particularly your non-ESET clients) do the same.
Zimuse originated in Slovakia, the home of ESET, so naturally ESET was first to detect it and protect against it. A week ago, Zimuse was virtually unknown outside Slovakia. Now the search engines have hundreds of links.
The "MBR worm" reference on http://www.eset.eu/press-computer-worldwide-targetted-by-MBR-Worm isn't quite technically correct, but it's the closest description anyone could come up with. Zimuse doesn't specifically target the MBR, and the destruction is not limited to the MBR ... it trashes the first 50kB of the hard disk (which includes the MBR) by overwriting it with zeros

I have seen 2 infections of this virus this week alone and it is NOT a nice thing to have on your system. One system recovered all their data, the other didn't !!!
